Summit Forums
Participants to the Summit will be chosen on the basis of their institution, union, organisation or as individuals who have a particular voice in this sector. However, with space for only 350 participants, inevitably, many who would like to contribute will not be present. On behalf of the Ministry, the CEPD, which is managing the summit, is operating a ‘forum’ to allow you to make your voice heard. We are asking you to register on entering the forum and then to post your thoughts in relation to the 4 identified areas of focus which you will find on the pull down menu below. This will allow CEPD, before the summit, to summarise your inputs. These will be presented as a report to all participants at the summit and become part of the required reading before the summit. This will ensure that your voice is heard and that as many viewpoints as possible are available to summit delegates.
We thank you for making the time to post your contribution to this important summit.
Your contribution will feed into the summit and the summit will produce a report, which will make recommendations to the Minister of HET regarding the future of the sector and suggest ways of deepening consultation between various stakeholder groupings and the Ministry. The summit outcomes will act as a guide and point of reference to the continuing work of the Department of Higher Education and Training, universities, bodies such as the CHE and HESA, academics, researchers, workers, students and other government departments.
