Prof Catherine Odora Hoppers awarded an honorary doctorate in education

CEPD board member, Prof Catherine Odora Hoppers was awarded an honorary doctorate in education from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University on 18 April 2012 “in recognition of her work on gender, science and innovation, and the integration of indigenous knowledge systems which has created ground-breaking shifts in traditional knowledge paradigms” (NMMU, http://www.nmmu.ac.za/default.asp?id=-2&bhcp=1).

CEPD would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our esteemed collegue on this great honour which she humbly accepted in concluding a very memorable speech: "LOVE IS A TASK. And in love and humility I accept this Honorary Doctorate Degree".
