The aim of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) is to accommodate all recognised qualifications in South Africa – those taught at school or university, as well as those acquired through on-the-job training. It is based on concepts that are widely supported internationally, and is a crucial component of the government’s post-apartheid reform strategy for the county’s education and training system.
